Collectors George III coins
is in its 1st annual edition and available

If you already have a collection of
British coins from the reign of George 3rd, or plan on getting one, this book will save you a lot of research
time and makes a great accompaniment to the 'Collectors coins GB 2004'
book covering 1821 - 2003 available here.
It contains current market values for all
British coins minted between 1760 - 1820 (Mainland and Ireland, not
including Channel islands, Isle of Man or colonies).
With listings of known varieties, mintage
numbers and values drawn up from dealer lists and auction results it
really is the best value paperback on the coinage of George III. Not
only does it cover British and Hibernia (Ireland) coinage, it also
covers pattern coins, common tokens and even the odd forged coin, which
were very much part of your change back then!
It's a small A5 book (20 x
14.5cm) and is especially handy to take to coin shops, coin meetings, boot sales or
other places where it isn't practical to take a giant heavy book.
The book is written by R.J
Marles, a numismatic author I have enjoyed reading since 1988 and having
just been made aware of this title myself I am enjoying it very much. It
contains all the useful facts I expected. Readers of this should be
aware that it is the latest edition and was last published in 1998.
Although the original print is 5 years old the author felt the market
values had not changed sufficiently to warrant any revisions or
re-prints.
It goes into more detail with
error coins and different variety combinations than most other far more
expensive books.
